FAQ

What is bike-sharing?

Bike-sharing is a transportation program concept that allows riders access to bikes with out having to own a bike. Traditionally, this type of system has been organized via docking stations which limit where you can park or even pick up a bike. Now, with improved technology, Ant Bicycles break free from the docking stations and let you park where ever your final destination may be.

What does dockless mean?

As the newest generation of bike-sharing, we have gotten rid of the cumbersome docking stations. Our bicycles can be distributed around the city to increase coverage and meet dynamic demands. Each bicycle is designed for city commute and is equipped with the latest GPS technology, supported by mobile and cloud-based tracking.

How to rent a bicycle?

Please first download the Ant Bicycle mobile app from the app store and take a few seconds to register as a new user. When completed, you can use the mobile app to scan the QR code on the bicycle to unlock and start the trip. Enjoy your ride!

How to end a trip?

When you are ready to end your trip, make sure the bike is parked safely and slide the orange lock handle all the way down until you feel the lock engage. The mobile app will automatically calculate the rental fee and send a notification to your smartphone.

Wonder if our bicycle is lost or abandoned?

As the newest generation of bike-sharing, we have gotten rid of the cumbersome docking stations. Our bicycles can be distributed around the city to increase coverage and meet dynamic demands. Each bicycle is designed for city commute and is equipped with the latest GPS technology, supported by mobile and cloud-based tracking.

How do I lock the bicycle and end my trip?

Once the bicycle is parked in place, please find the green lock on the back, press the orange button and slide the lock all the way down. The total ride charges will be automatically calculated on the app after the bicycle is locked.

How do I avoid an additional charge?

If you park your bicycle legally and appropriately, always remember to lock the bike at the end of a trip, there will not be any additional charge.

How to use the kickstand?

The two-sided kickstand is located on the rear tire of the bicycle. The kickstand is locked in place by a lever on the left side of the rear tire. To free the kickstand, kick the lever back. Now, simply roll the bike forward and the kickstand will swing back, and you are ready to ride. When you are done, simply repeat these steps in reverse.

How to park legally and responsibly?

You can park the bicycle anywhere as long as it does not block passage ways or any other access ways. In other words, if you see a spot that permits bicycle parking, you can park an Ant Bicycle there. We also provide virtual parking spots, especially in hot zones. If you switch the App into "Parking Mode," you will see all the available parking spots near you.

Bicycles must be parked according to our rules and regulations. Priority should be given to parking in existing bike racks and designated bike parking areas. If not available, choose a location that is not blocking any right of way access. Users found to be repeatedly parking bikes against our policies will be assessed a fee.

How much does it cost?

Once the bicycle is parked in place, please find the green lock on the back, press the red button and slide the lock all the way down. The total charge for the ride will be automatically calculated on the app after the bicycle is locked.

Why can't I unlock a bicycle?

Please make sure if you downloaded our app to the latest version. After you updated the app to the latest version please turn your Bluetooth on and put your phone near the lock for several seconds then click "scan to unlock". Please repeat this step several times. Also be sure to complete all registration fields, including: name, email, phone number and payment method in order to finish account setup and begin riding.

Can I bring the bicycle home?

You may ride your bicycle home, however it should be parked in a recognized bike parking area. Our team may contact you to return the bike if we found it's left within any private properties and we reserve the rights to take further legal actions.

Is there a membership option, how does it work out?

Monthly and annual memberships are available. A user is able to lock/unlock a bicycle many times in a hour without charging. However, our system needs to acquire the data of each bicycle, please remember to lock the bicycle at least one time every half hour, otherwise the system will charge the user as if they were paying per ride.
